Mission

Do you want to do more than just watch machines being built—do you want to get your hands dirty right from the start? As a mechatronics engineer (m/f/d) at our company, you’ll combine mechanics, electrical engineering, and software: You’ll build complete mechatronic systems from individual components, commission them, and get them up and running—on real Variobend long-bed press brakes and Slinet coil processing systems, not on textbook models. Over the course of 3.5 years, you’ll grow from an apprentice to a journeyman or journeywoman and become part of a team that’s building the sheet metal processing of tomorrow together.

What does this job involve?

Mechatronics technicians build complex mechatronic systems from mechanical, electrical, and electronic assemblies and components. They inspect the individual components and assemble them into systems and machines. They commission the finished systems, program them, or install the associated software. In doing so, they follow circuit diagrams and design drawings and carefully test the systems before handing them over to their customers. They also maintain and repair mechatronic systems.

What You Bring
to the Table

• A good secondary school diploma (Realschule) or comparable qualification, ideally with strong grades in math and physics
• Technical aptitude and a genuine passion for tinkering, working with machinery, and programming
• Manual dexterity and a meticulous, precise work style
• Ability to work in a team, reliability, and a desire to learn new things
• Some practical experience (e.g., from an internship) in a technical field is a plus, but not required
